Your Child’s Milestones

A human child’s most rapid learning period is between the ages of six months to four years. This is the time when they learn to sit, crawl, walk, talk and socialise.

Never again throughout your child’s life will their development be so important or so fast, making those early milestones significant to their future selves.

During this time the sequence of milestones is critical to their development, with the key indicators being neurodevelopment, hearing, balance and speech.

Skipping or having a delay with one of these milestones comes under the new term ‘Neurodivergent’ ‘(‘differently wired’) and is a new ontology.

Zsuzsanna Molnar has recently moved to Bridgetown with her children and her partner Scott, she was seeking a more balanced life style by moving to a rural area, and on her six-acre property she found a home on very similar looking country to where she grew up in her native Hungary.

Zsuzsanna is a Child Development Coach and explains how she first came to live in Australia, “I was invited to Australia in 1997 to oversee and develop educational rehabilitation programs for the Department of Education of South Australia.

“In South Australia I was a part of the Conductive Education program where we taught students with disabilities to walk and interact as ‘normal’ kids, challenging society’s perceptions of what children with disabilities could achieve.

“The program at Kidman Park Primary School aimed to challenge students, most of whom had cerebral palsy to get out of their wheelchairs and play and learn.

“The program managed to get the children to be active, because nobody learns when they are sitting there being passive.

“The university faculty in Hungary where I did my degrees is a world leader in brain and body development and rehabilitation.”

Zsuzsanna is a registered teacher, rehabilitation specialist (conductor) and neurodevelopmental specialist.

Since coming to Australia with her speciality she has worked extensively around the country and in most states.

Zsuzsanna continues “With 30 years of experience and studies, I have helped hundreds of children with all kinds of developmental challenges - speech, mobility, and socialising issues.

“Early childhood delays are compounding. By the time the child goes to primary school the economic and social impact becomes substantial. By the time the child reaches high school the economic and social impact can be catastrophic.

“It is estimated that people who live with mild, undiagnosed disabilities can be around 30% of the population in our society. This section of the population also experiences severe social, emotional regulation. It can be hard for some to experience life satisfaction and joy.”

There are only a few people in Australia with Zsuzanna’s qualifications. Brain Body Potential is the program she is offering as an assessment of your child’s baseline neuro-ability, she then can tailor a program for your child’s developmental program accordingly.
